William Raveis Real Estate has been busy opening its first 3 offices in Naples in the first 3 months of 2016, but has already reached out to support the Naples community through a variety of philanthropic endeavors. One includes the Freedom Waters Foundation.
Naples is recognized around the globe for its abundance of sunshine, sugar-sand beaches, incredible lifestyle, cultural activities, and recreational opportunities, especially those that take place on the rivers, back bays and the Gulf of Mexico.
For many, there’s no better place to “get away from it all” than on the water. Leaving their worries behind, water enthusiasts take great pleasure in enjoying the splendor of Southwest Florida from an aquatic perspective.
Perhaps no organization knows that better than the Freedom Waters Foundation. With a mission to improve the lives of individuals with special needs, as well as veterans, the Freedom Waters Foundation provides therapeutic marine-related experiences on the waters throughout South Florida.
Several times a month, boats leave the docks up and down the area’s coastline with delighted passengers on board, many of whom are children facing the challenges of a life-threatening illness.
“Giving these children an escape from their daily health-related struggles and to watch their faces light up as they take to the open waters is simply one of the best feelings in the world,” said Debra Frenkel, Founder and Executive Director of the Freedom Waters Foundation. “However, it’s not just an escape for the children, but also their families who work so hard to ensure their child has experiences to remember, and have at least one day when they can simply be a kid.”
The mission of the Freedom Waters Foundation inspired William Raveis Real Estate to become the lead sponsor of the organization’s 2nd annual Kind Mariner’s Ball fund raising event in March of 2016.
